*NOTE: feel free to make comics/draw or RP about what your individual character(s) did during the battle-- I couldn't add everyone because it would just make this monster of a journal longer than it already is-- thank you all for understanding, much love! ~Kiki

The Dawn

It was winter.

The students turned soldiers of The Academy of Villains waited in rows in the courtyard. The snow started early this year in Norway, and despite the feeling of trepidation that surrounded the Academy there was an air of peace.

They were ready.

Weeks of training in harsh conditions made the students feel better about the battle to come-- they'd done all they could to prepare for this day, the Teachers and Dorm Masters had worked non-stop to make sure everyone was up to par, even the youngest. Only one Teacher refused to train the students for bloodshed. No one blamed the Nightmare.

Headmaster K was ready, too. However, he was lacking armor; he wore his usual attire.

He stood on a small raised platform-- giving a speech. If he didn't, you wouldn't be able to see his small frame above the rows of warriors.

It was noticeable, that some of the Dorm Masters were missing-- particularly Ida Rosalind, the Dorm Master of Kifel. However, her dreaded sword Remiel, remained. He was currently floating beside the Headmaster. The chain that once linked the sword to the waif was now connected to the blond man.

Iksian, the Head of Defense, stood to K's right.

“I know you've all trained long and hard--” K's voice carried smoothly through the falling snow. “This is the moment we've been waiting for-- this day in history will be a victory for all the broken, all the damned, we are not to be overlooked anymore-- we refuse to be taken lightly.” it looks like many, including the Headmaster had grown up these past few months. He no longer stuttered, and the students no longer hesitated. They stood firm, even in the cold.

“We will win this battle-- and when we do, the world will never forget it. I thank all of you for your sacrifice to this Academy, none of you will be forgotten either. We're paving a new road in history, the judgment of good and evil has always been biased. We will win one for the fallen, the misunderstood, for those who have no where else to go-- for us.”

The Dorm Masters that remained were standing next to their Dorm Dragons. The beasts were also outfitted for War, however, their level of help was questionable. They were mostly wild, and it was thought that most would either run away or just attack everything, friend or foe.

“Aha.. they usually hand out the badges of honor and courage after the battle but.. I'm not sure how the battle will go. I wanted to thank all of you early-- so I decided to give out these badges before the battle.” He held one up in the air-- as if everyone could see the tiny thing. “This is a token of my gratitude to all of you! Your teachers will walk by, and pin them to your armor.” He smiled, as he pinned one on his cat. “I got a real deal on them too..” he mumbled, as the Teachers began pacing the rows, shaking hands and applying badges.

They looked really cool!

Thank you b-marble for the badge!

However, upon closer inspection.. they looked cheaply made. Headmaster K was known for being frugal, after all. They were made of plastic and were... rather shitty, actually.

“You're all brave, and I admire each and every one of you.” he smiled. “Now-- battle plans. Thanks to Iksian, we've got the best plan in existence. Aha.. not to overly flatter him but they're pretty damn cool!”

“Let's take a look.”

“The outlined area is where the real battle will take place, the Academy will be home base-- and hold half our army for back up. The back-up forces will be positioned inside and around the rotunda, the main part of the Academy named Home Base.

If our front lines forces are depleted, Home Base will hold their ground at the Academy. If the front lines are doing well, but need some extra help to win-- Home Base will join us as reinforcements on the battle field.

Now, I wanted to let all of you know that.. I've decided to ask for a little help in winning this war. If we can't do it alone, the Illuminati has decided to step in and help us in battle. Should we win with their help, however.. then this school will be run by the Illuminati.

We will no longer be a free-standing organization but a controlled branch of their society.

I know, I know, it sucks.. but.. it's better than losing! And the Illuminati has been around longer than us, they know a thing or two about Heroes and how to run a school like this. So don't worry. I'm not going anywhere-- I'll still be your Headmaster!” No one was entirely sure if that was a good thing or a bad thing.

“Now, mind you, the Illuminati thing would be IF we win. So.. let's do our best! The future is waiting.”

With that, a copy of the battle plans was handed out to each student to look over.

“Follow the command of your Teachers and Dorm Masters, and you'll be just fine. Now, Front Line divisions one through five, pair up and head out! Home Base divisions six through nine, secure the Academy! LET'S DO THIS.”

With that, the Headmaster joined the front lines, he would lead them into battle. Iksian stayed behind to supervise Home Base. The students turned, marching in neat rows through the snowy forest to the Valley where the battle would take place.

The Battlefield

Upon arriving at the battle field, the soldiers of AoV discovered just how.. vast the Hero Society's army truly was. Their had to be ten times the amount of forces the Villains had. They also possessed aerial forces, half their army floated several hundred feet off the ground, on the backs of griffins and other mythical beasts. This was something AoV lacked. They only possessed a few who could fly. The Villains truly were the underdogs here. The black horses.

The battle field itself was a valley, with steep mountain ridges on either side. The ground was frozen solid, and covered with a good foot of snow. However, the sky was clear, and the sun was rising behind the Villains.

This was good, the Heroes would have to fight against the glare of the sun on top of everything else.

However, the Heroes had planned ahead, all of them were currently wearing snazzy sunglasses. Shit.

In the center of the valley, were the leaders of the Hero Society, they sat around a table, waiting for the Villains to meet with them and talk. They were even drinking tea. How pleasant!

K refused to bring anyone with him but Precious, his cat, as he approached the table. Remiel followed too however-- because he was physically and spiritually attached to the blond man.

It was hard to hear what they were saying-- being so far away, but it seemed that the Headmaster was losing his cool rather quickly, and Remiel wasn't helping at all, insulting one of the other Hero leaders who appeared to have a sword similar to Remiel-- just more Heroic looking.

Thaddeus just stood there calmly, looking down upon the Headmaster. He was at least double K's height. Things didn't look good.

Time seemed almost frozen-- until K threw a punch at Thaddeus.

It was easily blocked with a personal force field-- put up by one of Thaddeus retainers.. but this triggered a chain reaction. That one act of violence was the spark that started the flame.

And then... K was running back to the front lines, his white fluffy cat trailing behind him in the snow as he flailed his arms wildly, Remiel clutched tightly in one hand. “The fla.. cha..r.. the fla..” It was hard to hear him.. Speak up Headmaster...!

“IT'S BEGUN! RAISE THE FLAGS, CHARGE! CHARGE, CHARGE, OH GOD, CHARGE!” oh, that was better-- thank you Headmaster. Wait, charge?

OH.

RIGHT.

CHARGE!

The Heroes had already got the idea, and the fight had begun, the table and delicate tea set were abandoned as the Hero leaders retreated behind their army, to a safe watching distance. K however, simply ran through the crowd of his own men, until he found Diaco and a few Dorm Masters. He was panicking, as he clung to the Art Teacher, tears forming in his eyes. “They're coming-- oh God, I don't know if I can do this--” he rambled on, but his Students, sharp as ever, took the initiative and charged the Heroes with all their might.

Even if their leader was a wimp-- that didn't mean that they were! K did not represent their own spirit. Every dark heart on that battlefield burned with an uncontrollable desire to destroy the enemy. After all, they were Villains! Villains were born to do this kind of thing! This is what they had trained so hard for!

The two sides clashed viciously in the middle, high tech weaponry connected with ancient technology and.. it was just Chaos.

Chaos.

But..

Not long into the battle..

The Villains were losing badly. Fighting bravely-- but still being completely demolished one wave at a time. It wouldn't be long before the Front Lines were history, and the Hero army would then move on to destroy Home Base. Not long at all... So this would be how it ended..?

That's when it happened. The roar. It was a sound-- so unfamiliar, some had to simply stop and listen to it in wonder. What.. was that? It rumbled off the mountains around them, forcing those who heard it to stop-- and wonder. Suddenly, it became clear what the sound was.

The Headmaster of a small Villain Academy, was standing in a small cleared circle of snow all to himself-- a circle of chalk at his feet. Remiel, the demonic sword was raised in his right hand, as blue waves of power drifted off his skin. He looked practically demonic, taken over by Remiel and his own power.

He wasn't what was making the sound.. but he had summoned it.

The sound was that of a massive wall of frozen water, rushing down the mountain sides upon both forces, from both sides, at more than seven hundred miles an hour. It was so fast, so monstrous in size, and so powerful, it outran it's own roar-- busting the sound barrier.

The sound of one of the biggest avalanches to ever exist, fought with itself, and the sound of a million screams, as Heroes and Villains tried desperately to retreat somewhere – anywhere-- to escape such a horrible death as being buried alive. Drowned by ice.

Suddenly, fighting didn't seem so important-- as the snow crashed into the Valley, filling it almost instantly. Suddenly, the only important thing was trying to escape to survive, to find your friends and loved ones among the white, and cling to them-- so that they could die together, instead of alone.

The roar continued to echo, deafening as it caught up with its creator-- but suddenly.. too suddenly.. the ice had become water, and both armies were submerged, and completely washed out-- as the battle field was 'cleansed'. The rushing rapids carried fallen soldiers and dropped weapons away with it, down the valley, until all that was left were those who were still alive.

Uh...

Both armies laid on the ground, soaked and shivering, but other than that-- pretty much in tact.

Well, that was pointless. Why the hell did K do that?? HOW WAS THAT SUPPOSE TO HELP, HEADMASTER?

Heroes, Villains, and those in between, groggily got to their feet-- feeling exhausted, energy zapped from the cold that penetrated every limb. But they were quickly regaining their will to fight.

They just had to get the water out of their ears first...

K was spent, huddled in a small ball to himself. He'd used too much power-- and was currently either passed out or unable to move. Serves him right. Remiel decided to say so, too. As he insulted the blond from nearby.

That's when the tide of the war changed, so to speak. Apparently that display of magic, ice and useless energy was good for something-- Because just then, a flood of forces came charging over the hill-- it was... the Illuminati! Their army had arrived, boosting the Villains numbers to match that of the Heroes.

The Heroes immediately sprung into action, getting themselves together while they were rushed with a fresh group of soldiers-- these soldiers had not been touched by the tidal wave and were ready to fight-- as they began relentlessly bearing down upon the Heroes who tried their best to become organized once more. They were scattered, confused and wet-- as they fought tooth and nail just to retreat further and further back.

The Villains didn't have to be so urgent in getting back on their feet-- by the time they were ready to fight once more, the Illuminati army was holding up fantastically, and the added force of the Villains was enough to drive the Heroes back a few notches.. things were looking good!

Until...

The Heroes pulled a curve ball. They weren't going to go down that easily-- as they fell back, they regrouped.. and then the second surprise of the battle occurred.

The Heroes unleashed their airal forces-- who had been untouched by the tidal wave as well. Suddenly people were being beheaded and eaten by griffins left and right as creatures of great size and strength swooped down and plucked soldiers right off the battlefield.

Arrows were fired-- and bullets-- and missiles, but most did no good as the aerial troops used the bodies of the Villains to literally block said blows, tossing innocent Villains into the line of oncoming bullets and missiles to disable them.

“STOP!!” No one paid attention to the heart wrenching plea.

“STOP IT! ALL OF YOU STOP!” Still, no one ceased-- who was saying that? Would someone please kill that idiot? This is War!

“SERIOUSLY, STOP!” K was the one shouting this, as he held his injured right arm tightly to his side.

“I DON'T WANt this anymore..” he was scooped up by Diaco, and transported further back from the fight-- to safer, higher ground. “I want to make it all stop.” he said pathetically, while his soldiers fought valiantly.

As friend and foe died, all around the valley-- the sound of battle cries and last words echoing off bloody armor and frozen rock.. There came light. It was white-- and blinding, it seemed to be coming from the ground itself. When.. it did stop. Everyone-- froze, unable to move, even the aerial forces froze in place-- as if time decided to take a holiday and put the world on pause.

It was.. not K this time-- who had made this happen. Instead it was a small mutant insect that he had kept on his person-- you know? Oh? You don't know? That K carries around mutant demonic insects? It doesn't matter. This small mutant insect was pretty cool though, could of sworn he'd been mentioned once before but I guess not. Oh well.

It looked like a mutant praymantis-- as it waved its little angry mantis arms in the air. It angrily forced the armies to cease all movement. Seriously. What the fudge muffins.

However, while it did this, it began to grow in height, while the headmaster screamed pitifully. Apparently it was painful for the man, when this insect began to grow. How.. gross.

How incredibly gross.

The mutant insect grew until it was the size of the Academy itself.

Home Base

Meanwhile, back at Home Base-- Iksian and the reinforcements had been fighting a whole different battle. It appeared that the Heroes were smarter than originally thought. They'd not only confronted the Villains on the front lines, but had also devised a separate division of troops to attack the Academy itself. How unpredictable!

Good thing Iksian was a seasoned veteran when it came to war and had foreseen this, stashing half the Villain army within the Academy's walls.

Now however.. the Academy was falling apart before their very eyes, the rotunda was stuffed full with soldiers fighting from both armies, as the roof caved in, and pillars fell-- it was as if the building had simply had enough of everyone, and was committing straight up suicide.

Iksian was in the middle of it all, and was facing off against the Head of Defense from the Hero Society-- the one that possessed a sword similar to Remiel, only more Heroic looking. His name was Endymion.

The floor of the rotunda began to glow too-- but for an entirely different reason. Iksian was a much better military leader, after all-- and he had a plan up his sleeve better than anyone's. It was a trap.

The Battlefield

Meanwhile on the battlefield... the mutant insect was now.. a very large mutant insect... humanoid? It was-- quite horrifying to look at, actually, as it stepped forward-- ready to crush and devour everyone-- Villains and Heroes alike.

“I never wanted to hurt anyone!” K said, winded, and voice hoarse from screaming. He was bleeding a lot, but it was unclear where he was bleeding from.

“I want this to end! I want to start over! I want the battle to stop!” His voice was weak, but carried over the sound of the silent battlefield-- the Heroes were already using counter spells to free themselves from the time-hold that had been cast upon them all.

“It's not about what you want!” the Hero leaders, unaffected by the spell-- stood behind their frozen forces. “Heroes always win, you're finished, and the battle has already begun-- you can't stop it now, so cease your gibberish and cowardice and fight us like true soldiers! No more nonsense, you wretched creeps! Accept your fate!”

“I demand-- you make it stop!” Diaco, the art Teacher was close by, supportive of the Headmaster, watching quietly while the Villain forces slowly unfroze and gained the ability to fight once more.

“This battle has gone on long enough. It is disrupting my way of life.” the giant insect.. thing.. growled. “I never agreed to any of this, in my contract.” it then began grabbing everyone and anyone in sight.. and began to eat them, sucking their souls right out of their skulls and dropping their lifeless forms on the frozen earth. It was.. disgusting and horrifying. Especially if you couldn't even move.

“Stop it! Gott STOP EATING THEM!” the Headmaster was panicking, voice breaking with a high girlish squeal.

That's when a blast of white magic coursed through the battlefield-- so powerful and pure.. Capture stood nearby..  She had caused this, using what was left of the Headmaster's powers and her own. She forced her own power upon the field, shrinking the giant insect creature until it was a mostly-human creature, standing nearby, fuming angrily at her.

Her power-- was good. It was so pure and loyal and strong-- that it ignited in the soul of every Hero soldier and.. FLASH.

They were gone. Every Hero soldier and griffin, every Hero leader.. gone. Transported, perhaps, elsewhere.

The remaining soldiers, were that of the Academy-- and the Illuminati's army. They stood around, shivering and.. confused. Was the war over? Another wave of power began rippling through them-- but this time it was familiar, it came from the Academy itself perhaps, and poof! Like magic, the forces that were stationed there, were teleported back to the Academy.

Someone had a lot of explaining to do.

But no one had time for that-- the battle in the Valley had ended for the time being but.. the one at Home Base had not. The teleported soldiers were met with an awful sight.

The Academy was all but destroyed completely. It stood in ruins, a vicious and bloody battle occurring within its collapsing walls.

While the main forces had been prancing around the valley, casting spells on each other.. Home Base bad been fighting truthfully-- with weapons and honor. Iksian did not back down, and the state of the Academy was testament to this.

“Retreat!”

It was the sound of Endymion, th Heroes Head of Defense, “Retreat, all Society forces RETREAT!”

The Heroes came pouring out of the Academy then, Endymion was wounded badly. They fled only to come face-to-face with the main forces, standing at the edge of the campus grounds.

“Attack!” K shouted weakly-- as if he'd suddenly grown a pair, now that the Hero forces was retreating.

That was when Diaco stepped in, shaking his head at the blond. “I thought you wanted the fighting to stop.”

K flushed red, it was difficult when he had such little blood. “But we were loosing... Now we're not--”

“We should let them go.” the vampire said quietly. “Here is not the place or time.”

The Hero forces stood, bloody and battered-- chests heaving and eyes burning. They were ready to fight to their deaths. However, they didn't have to-- instead, they were chased away by the Villain forces, until they were pushed into neutral territory and left there, to be gathered by their main army at a later time. They were allowed to live.

It was said that shortly after this, the Headmaster had collapsed unconcious. He hadn't used all that magic without consequence. His right arm-- that he'd channeled all of his magic through-- had been reduced to bone, and would have to be amputated.

He would live.

The battle seemed to be over. The battle in the Valley had been a tie, both sides being teleported away unexpected. The battle at Home Base had been a victory though, and the soldiers under Iksian's command cheered-- they had been aided by Iksian's undead army, who all groaned in approval. Iksian himself looked a little battered. But other than that, he was grinning. Hell yeah. That's how it's done.

Now that the battle was over.. it was time to rebuild-- news came a day later that the Heroes had paused the idea of war for now, and were rebuilding as well.. they were apparently mortified and baffled at the turn of events that had occurred. It wasn't exactly an ordinary battle.

They wanted to get it right the next time-- and destroy the Academy completely. They didn't want to rush right into battle again and have something like that happen twice.. that would be unacceptable. So they waited. For now, this was a blessing.

The Villains were relieved to hear the news and began rebuilding their defenses. It would be a long time of rebuilding, before either side was ready to fight again. For now, there was peace and healing.
Many men were lost on either side-- Heroes and Villains alike.. and there was a monument built on the Academy grounds to honor those who had fought and died for this place.

A place where those who were hated, damned, mistreated.. could rest their tired feet.
